Guest guest
The ways of the mind: Life is flowing and parallel to it, a mind interprets. Have this understanding, then you will flow with life. The moment you do not give attention to the mind, mind will slow down. If you hold hands with the mind, you will run along with it. Then it will flow. It will go on chatting, chatting and chatting. The difference is that the Jnani is the master and not a slave to his mind. It is the nature of the mind to think in dualities. If you ask for a glass of water, then the mind wants to judge over the water - is it too cold or is it warm ? The enlightened one merely asks for water and drinks it without interpreting the water. His mind is still. ……. So it is not what I say that is important. We have to get those answers ourselves, and that we can do only by silencing our minds. All of us have the capacity to get those answers, because every question has an answer within silence. When the mind has reached a state of stillness, the answer comes. This will not happen in one or two days, but it is certain that we will get the answer in the silence. Indeed, he (Ajja) does seem to be a literal example of one whose mind and body have become a truly empty vessel, through which that One without a second shines through, untainted by even a trace of individuality. Sometimes you keep the radio on without listening to it. Like that we should handle our mind. Don't be identified with the mind! The problem is that we are afraid that we will miss something essential if we do not listen to the interpreting mind. "When a drop of rain leaves the sky and approaches the ocean, it does not attempt to put on the brakes and cry out in despair of losing its rain-dropness. Yet the mind will often do just that. The sense of personal `I' will attempt to resist all motion that it perceives heading in the direction of it losing itself. The raindrop has no such fear and when it merges into the ocean, it does not lose its rain-dropness but gains the entire ocean. The same is true of the personal `I.' As it merges with the heart of consciousness, it gains the entire universe." The moment you are in the mind, it isn't Advaita. But the moment you're in the moment-to-moment, that is Advaita. ... embrace life without the mind… there is love in the moment … there is aliveness in the moment .… When you are in the mind, you cannot embrace life, you cannot celebrate life. ……… the bliss of a non-mental life The soul reflects it's images through the manure of the mind gloriously, filled with the fragrance of LOVE. ….. look upon the world with nectar flowing from your eyes.
