Holly Well, actually Holly, that is not objective reality, but belief that you are suggesting. You believe that your "experiences" represent the universe. That's cool, except that the universe will outlast you (in the sense of your own ability to experience as Holly) and that the universe can do things to you that you do not like or agree with. In fact, I could not write this posting to you if in fact, I did not have independent existence as a conscious entity from you! Since I do, I refute your assertion, and that alone is the proof needed to invalidate your assertion of such a belief being a real and total experience of the entire universe (being in your head). Cheers. It is too easy to refute solipsism, please study the concepts further and give it up. Brilliant folks have struggled with this and inevitably consigned this idea to the round file. Don't go there...it always has an unhappy ending. I make these comments with the utmost sincerity and caring for your welfare and happiness... I am not intending to be petty or mean spirited. I have lost some good friends because they pursued this fruitless path of belief. They ended up being just devastated by events and the inability to rectify their belief with objective reality. Remember, a crazy person keeps knocking against a wall, convinced that if they believe it to be a door, it will open. A sane person either installs a door, or simply walks around the wall. (I know, I know, the wall and the door are all in my mind...which to you, obviously means they are all in your mind...) I think what I am asking is for you to acknowledge that if you close your eyes and go to sleep, someone could sneak up and place a rose upon your chest, and your thoughts had nothing to do with this event. Furthermore, can you really believe that you invented all of the culture and technology that exist around you? Did you invent Einstein? If so, why can't you do advanced physics? If you contain every doctor and scientist that exists in the world, why don't you have their abilities? If you admire Celine Dion, why don't you sing like her? Eventually solipsism just falls apart. We do not control the actions and feelings of others, let alone that of the whole universe. As I said before, sure, the experience of the world is within us, but we are not the world. Even from a Non-dualistic plane of reference, one person (and that is dualistic already) cannot be the whole of the universe. It takes a village. :-) Blessings Love, Zenbob
