White Feather

The person who has fallen into God

is a window into the All.

Her nature is empty of parts.

There is no lion or lamb in her.

No spider nor snake.

That person, is the soul of all life.

A white feather you can see through.

She may shed skins

Or she may wear a skin for every occasion.

Yet these are her totems.

She must still lodge somewhere

And so she wears a sheepskin

To mark her souls territory.

She is the spirit of her clan.

A shaman

A child, a mother,

And a healer when needed.

A father to wild horses

And the wind on the plains.

She is what is needed.

Whatever you see in her

Will come from your own heart.

If you have a wolf hiding there

She will appear as a ghost wolf

Howling you home.

If you have a scorpion kept in the dark

She will be the eye of the sun that finds it.

If you keep an eagle tethered

She will appear as the hunting knife

You have been searching for to set it free.

She has fallen into God

And from that place

She is always returning with tokens.

With emblems of what you are to be.

Her totems are your ancestors

Returning to be your children again.

If you have the qualities of a bear

She bears a cub for you

With the attributes of a snowy owl

So that you will gain wisdom

>From your strength.

She is a window into every condition

Yet her state is beyond conditionality.

Her tribe is not of this world

Her species is not even native to you.

Though she may appear

As an old woman cooking,

Or young man riding:

Her real work is providing you

With a cooking vessel of change to use

And a pony that knows where it is going.

When you meet a person

Who has fallen between the stars

Like the night sky:

Take all that you can from her.

Her wampum is a secret writing

meant only for you.

Follow her like a camp dog

Until she throws you some scraps

>From the Nation of Love.

Keep close by

Until she sends you away

With a blanket

On which she has invisibly woven

Your real nature.

love

eric
