ode to waxing moon

here in alaska it set huge and low - hovering above the waters with a

broad band reflected back in the waters all the way across, shimmering

in the moonlight. I could see how ancestors thought the moon as a

chariot when stray clouds followed it across the sky, but - why the

glowing cheese?? And - how could it really be reflecting a man on the

moon, c'mon now! More the goddess to the sun god, reflecting demurely in

her own right - oh the moon looked spectacular tonight!
