Ever since the day she arrived, Ananda has preferred to be without

clothes. Although she never resisted wearing them out to town, the

first thing she always does upon return is disrobe. As she grew, her

dad and I wondered how this preference of hers would resolve itself in

our world where nudity can be viewed in such warped ways.

Then one day when she was three or so, we were hiking back from our

favorite swimming hole in the river and Ananda, still dripping wet,

was dressed only in her sandals. We heard some approaching male

voices and laughter which sounded a bit unruly (as if perhaps there

had been some drinking) and immediately, my little girl asked me for

her dress. I had never said a word.

Since that time, Jim and I have trusted her innate sense of her own

comfort regarding her nudity and we have found that her radar is most

excellent. When she feels free to, she tears her clothes off the

first chance she gets. When there is someone nearby for whom that

behavior would cause stirrings, she seems to know that and is quite

happy to remain clothed.

Hi Kheyala,

That reminds me of me, now as well, dis-robe and robe-up to whatever

is appropriate depending on the circumstances. No fear involved, to

do with respect, would never even want to offend, if that is the

right word.
