As to my mind, there is no such thing. There is a consciousness in which everything happens. It is quite obvious and enough. Look well, and see what I see. ~ Nisargadatta So, yesterday evening when we returned from our walk we began watching a video of some archival footage of Maharaj. At one point, he began talking about the "screen", the witness position of consciousness, and said that even the witness must go eventually. We needed to put the video on hold while we considered the implication of those remarks together, and then my Darling had to leave the room for a moment to attend to something, and while she was gone i found myself staring at the now blue television screen. After a moment it just flicked off, but came back immediately to the blue. i noticed this, but thought that it might just be a temporary electrical fluctuation (despite all that we have experienced together that confirms the mysterious psycho-physical nature of this realm we call "the world"). A moment later it happened again, and then gradually began flicking off and on with increasingly rapid succession, until i was almost ready to call my Love back to the room to witness this phenomena, but as soon as she began walking down the stairs to return to the room the episode suddenly stopped. i told her what had happened, and then we just sat and waited for it to begin again, but the screen held its steady blue for some moments, and so we eventually just started the tape again where we had left off, and later had a very nice dinner.
