"Touch me –

remind me

who I am."

Stanley Kunitz

"This touch …..

it isn't about grasping."

Mark Doty

The old story, but

how often really explored?

Some archetypal stories have treasures

usually overlooked by the conditioned

interpretations of a self believed

to be divided from its source.

Adam & Eve, for example.

Living together again, we can remember

those early days in the garden, which at the time

we thought to be the whole world, not different than

who we were, a mysterious movement of being, forming

itself out of itself to awaken to itself in the image of itself

as you and i.

Since we had no ideas about God other than what was

directly experienced without intermediary, priest, scripture,

no God but God, no Guru but God, only God expressed as the

Garden of our present being, we reached to touch, moved as being

moves, moving to exceed itself without moving, moving

in the delight of itself moving further into the dream of itself

made flesh as you and i.

Just like today, i did an unusual thing that day –

i imagined you were separate enough from me that

i could love you.

i know why you keep laughing, just as much as

i know why i am here.

The paradox cracks us up, just as

it did then!

We keep returning for the laughs, which our

serious descendents call original sin, convinced

by the imagination that they are other than

this being, moving, moving

within themselves, laughing, nearly

fainting at this touch.

Becoming, never being, till

Becoming is a being still.

Here, Now, and Always, man would be

This is his spirit's trinity."

who are we then?

Nothing but eagerness,

or caution, though only a little,

couldn't those various distances

dissolve at a touch,

or a dozen touches?"

> The old story, but

....i open my eyes,

i see only You.

i close my eyes,

i see only You.

Awake or asleep,

i see only You.

In life or death,

i see only You.

Old stories, new stories,

past lives, future lives,

this life -

i explore mySelf

perpetually

as only You, You, You.

....i saw a flag alive,

dancing and mouthing windsongs.

Prayer flags in Tibet,

above any temple,

above any mountain anywhere,

have nothing on that flag!

> Adam & Eve, for example.

....Whitened Light God-Ribbing,

i still Laugh about that one!

Dust breathed into Life,

from the Happy Laughing One,

well That One is Laughing here today.

....i cannot imagine now,

i cannot imagine or fathom

that we were ever not together.

We have never been apart.

That part about "others," Ha!

The Mystery-Maker is no Mystery

to You or i now.

i break apart upon the Heart of Love;

the Heart of Love breaks

upon You and i

every night Beloved.

....i cannot speak a word

when i am facing You Now, Always.

Always spindrift lifted

upon the Movement of Mystery,

inside the Being going Nowhere.

Beloved, my Darling Heart,

the tide has turned,

and we are being taken

to the Sea.

Buoyancy,

Joy never sought

but always given.

Lifted inward,

everywhere at once -

i taste You as That.

> Just like today, i did an unusual thing that day –

....Aren't we the natural comdedians?

One natural response to Love's Ahhh,

as You, as i,

and as this moment,

and there is nothing but This.

OneHeart, OneBeing Loving itSelf.

i do not imagine.

i know.

> i know why you keep laughing, just as much as

....i came here to Love You.

i came here to Kiss You.

i came here to Be You Always.

i know Who You Are.

....Could Bliss be anything less,

than that flag turning towards us,

and going ecstatic?

What is different in that,

than a Bhakti lost in Love?

....Going under,

lost in Love's Wonder

at the very thought of You

walking in that door,

and saying -

"Honey, i'm home!"

Darling One,

we have never been away from one another.

i can say that now,

for truly,

You Are Home.

)))Whatever the last thing is we said,

i totally agree with!

After the flag dance,

what else is there to say:

the whole eternal legacy of

inquiry to the point of

pointlessness,

the ecstasy there,

here,

now?

how happy that flag, to

finally be met completely

in this divine mind communion

with the breeze of our laughter, hilarity

at the obviousness of our

profound ignorance?

this is

anything other than

Immortal Bliss?

this

Divine Ignorance?

We are!

We Are!

The same one then,

the same one now.

If anyone can see this dance,

the obviousnessness!

Yes,

you can say

"ShivAllah!"

ShivAllah!

LoveAlways,
