Dear Friends,

A wonderful gift, this ability to be so near the sea, to go there

with my Beloved and live lost in the Awe, the Bewildered Wonder of

This Love.

Such Prasad -

nectarines, O! Ramana!

chocolate, O! Bhava!

Ramana Bhava breaking every idea of any separation...

from anyone, from anything,

anywhere, everywhere at once,

Nowhere, no, yes, not this or that,

and not even that. Not even that,

is That.

This. This!

i do not know anything.

So we went to the beach and sat on the rocks near the surf,

watching crabs scuttle about, studying the carcass of a seal

wedged in the rocks and lifted again and again by the waves,

the skin and bones being filled with the sea and then emptied,

again and again.

i am filled and emptied,

empty with fullness,

filled with emptiness.

And it never ends.

A man, a very lovely man with a sweet smile, so sweetly he smiled at

us, and we talked about the temperature of the water, we talked about

the things we could not say by saying nothing of them. But there was

this communication with this beautiful being, Beloved Robert, and i,

and then, of course the Sea was in on it. Sobhet between us includes

everyone we ever see or speak to. Or do not speak to. This

Conversation never ends. Zikr is perpetual and Bliss-filled

AlwaysAlways. God is the only reality. There is only God. Meditation?

We Are Meditation. This Is Meditation. There Is Only Meditation.

i was taken in a piercing awareness of this man who was passing, and

his feet, his dear, dear feet stepping over the rocks and the watered

stones, the seaspray kissing him, and i suddenly was the most ardent

devotee-bhakti and this man was the SadGuru, and Beloveds, i nearly

allowed this, but hesitated wisely, not wanting to frighten him in

any way, but i so deeply wanted to run across the space that seemed

to separate us and lie my head on his feet, hold them in my hands

tenderly, gratefully, and wash them with my tears and sing softly of

the Light, the Love, the Heartbreaking Bliss and Grace everywhere

permeating everything forever. And to thank Him for That.

This man smiled the Smile of the Beautiful One.

i will never forget his face, nor his beautiful, sacred feet.

"The same stream of life that runs

through my veins night and day runs

through the world and dances in

rhythmic measures.

It is the same life that shoots in joy

through the dust of the earth in

numberless blades of grass and breaks

into tumultuous waves of leaves and

flowers.

It is the same life that is rocked in

the ocean-cradle of birth and of death,

in ebb and in flow.

I feel my limbs are made glorious by

the touch of this world of life. And my

pride is from the life-throb of ages

dancing in my blood this moment."
