Guest guest
8/16/02 "Ananda Gems" (Today I came across some scraps of paper with these on them. Enjoy! * A: Someday when I am grown up I will be big as you! K: Maybe even bigger. A: Bigger? K: Maybe. Would you like to be bigger than Mommy? A: No, because then I might break the roof! * Ananda and I were in the market and I picked her up so she could see something. I had just recently become pregnant and was telling her that when my tummy got big I wouldn't be able to carry her. She said, "That's okay. I will carry you then." * At a fancy restaurant my visiting aunt says to the waiter, "The duck is outstanding!" Ananda shakes her head and interjects, "Not anymore! It's not standing anymore after it's meat." * "I am so seepy I can hardly seep." * Today, just for fun, Ananda and I were doing some beginning math together out of a book. She was supposed figure out if there were enough bones for the dogs on the page by matching them up together. I could see by glancing at it that we were one bone short. She proceeded to draw lines from all the dogs except one and when she was done I asked, "So, were there enough bones for the dogs?" She said, "Yep." I pointed and said, "What about this one?" She said, "Mommy, yook at him. He doesn't yook hungry at all." * A (4): Well, where is your daddy? K: My daddy's body died. A: Why? K: It got very sick. A: Oh (pause)...well you can share my daddy with me! K: Thanks, Sweetie (hugging her), I think I will! * Woke up this morning being kissed and stroked tenderly by Ananda. She said, "I yove you all day, all night. All days, all nights." * "Daddy, I will always be with you."
