Guest guest
Visitor: Is devotion not useful as an initial step? M: First step or second step, I have the first and final step at the same time! The knowledge "I am", without words, itself is the Ishwara. He, Ishwara, does not want another (Maya) agent or intermediary. Direct. V: The problem we are falling into is weakness of mind sometimes. This dims the awareness. M: Who falls a prey to the weakness of the mind? You are talking from the body identification point of view. The real "you" is not the body. It cannot be cut to pieces by any weapon. V: It is always the false identification. M: If you identify yourself as the body, such an identity must be let go of, sacrificed. Your real identity has no body and no thought. And that self, the spontaneous knowledge "I am," you are. Since the Self is not the body, the self is neither male nor female. Thus to understand correctly, you must be bodiless. You must be bereft of the body sense. It is no use trying to understand from the identity of body. You must fulfill this vow, that you are not the body but solely that indwelling principle "I am." ~Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj Release identification with the body simply by being the body, which precludes any movement to identify with the body, you being the body, and then let go of that. ~ Ixnay If you're longing tonight for this rapture, Here – let us bring it to you, to your altar of desire. We will pray there by stretching ourselves so plushly on your innocent yearning you will say Don't stop. We won't. We can't. You are too beautiful to resist, loving this aloneness of you we are drawn to the lips, the hips, the heat of your serene intensity, breathless magnetism, the call of your wanting, wanting to be free of this wanting, not knowing any knowing but this, to never be spilt from this drowning, some fragrance inescapable, the touch indelible on the heart, the taste of your springwater gushing, rushing to itself with arms open, soul erect, pulsing Pulsing Life, Life LoveAlways, Mazie & b

The Compassionate One comes to save all beings, already suspecting there are no beings, only humorously irredeemable bundles of interdependent thought, incomprehensibly complex and empty of any meaning, anything to be saved or even known, poignantly strung together along a long imaginary clothesline called "I", a punch- line drunks keep using to pick themselves up when the finer Burgundies threaten their sobriety, and thus most prefer the day, when everything seems fairly lawful and fastidious, but at night no one is quite so sure; at night all that was filed as figured out becomes more subtly intriguing, more mysterious and perhaps unsettling -- this non-existent one for one, this longing for a change of images with which to keep the castle fortified against the creeping intuition that all images are images, the draw bridge across the moat might suddenly drop down, we wander/wiggle in, singing and caressing, waking sleepers, rumba dancing with our attachments, spilling Brut Noir in the serenely passionate excess of our hilarity, calling for more howling, hopelessness, hot coffee! He figures he came clean from God as a gift without a reason, so he gives without cause or calculation or limit. A conventionally religious person behaves a certain way to achieve salvation. A lover gambles everything, the self, the circle around the zero! He or she cuts and throws it all away. This is beyond any religion. Lovers do not require from God any proof, or any text, nor do they knock on a door to make sure this is the right street. They run, and they run. -- Version by Coleman Barks "Feeling the Shoulder of the Lion" LoveAlways, Mazie & b
