Since we are only that, and only when we are being that.. Me thinks you have a bit of "profit in his own town" dis-ease! Please look into it...to be so "only Ramana" is to miss the point completely! I, for one do not wish to only eat spagetti for the rest of my life! Don't make a stupid cult out of the words of truth! We *all* can speak them. Ramana points to how.... love (yet from someone other than RM?) Shawn
Guest guest
Hi Vicki, Ramana was beaten up by robbers and he bore patiently, without complaining, even prepared them a meal and you get annoyed over a few words? You call yourself a devotee? Do the talking, not the walking? I wasn't aware that one could only quote Ramana on this list....is it true? to quote yourself: (uh- oh, I'm not really going to do this , am I?) "Ramana didn't like the false teachers . He could be very angry with falsity ." Would you sugest that *only* Ramana is true...that only he is Love? Do you wish to make him into some kind of "only begotten son"? The one who sees true and false...is who? If i tell you Ramana lives here *in* me and I in him, will you hang me for blasphemy? Will you call me egoist? How can such a devotee think such things? Who *are* you? where do you cling? Do you see? Is it some kind of saintliness that attracts you? Does the the truth need to conform to your idea of it? I am truely sorry if you get offended by any of this. Shawn
Guest guest
Hi Vicky, Getting angry when meeting falsity is something i have been familiar with. Accepting falsity as a display of ignorance cured that condition and since then i have a good laugh when faced with it: If ignorance wouldn't be loved so dearly and unconditionally, there wouldn't be any :-) Leaving lovers of it alone means discretion isn't it? Guest guest
I put all of Vicki's Ramana quotes (and everybody else's Ramana quotes as well) - after reading - into a special folder... I started doing that years ago and I still do it. I remember Vicki was a bit "disgruntled" a few years ago on this as well... , if I remember well she even thought of stopping to submit quotes... Vicki, "We are what we read" :-) To see that, one has to be willing to recognize it... Wim --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
