Opinions seemed to be mixed about

the way to proceed in this bewildering realm.

 

There were signs and wonders all over the place,

announced by musicians and holy fools, many of

indefinite affiliation with regard to any recognizably

current memory association, many not seeming to care,

a quote in the wind from an old friend, since passed into

what he always was, before his and yours or my birth:
