Guest guest
I have forwarded to local folks of interest and influence. There has been a long time held belief among most of the politically astute out here that Bush and Cheney were knee-deep in nefarious oil, arms, and foreign political conflicts of interest. I am not a heavy critic of the President, who for the most part acts as a figurehead, in any case...but the "old guard" gang that surrounds decision making in the White House is a group that really needs to be retired for the good of the country. As resilient as our economy is, the Robber-Baron strategies of this adminsitration have already pitched it into the dumpster. What effect would a multi-billion dollar war with disastrous consequences have on it? My daughter is in the Navy Reserves (she just completed four years of active duty in the Persian Gulf) and I will not support her return to active duty if she is called up for some bizarre war with Iraq. In fact, I believe that most US military reservists have a constitutional right, even an obligation to protest and avoid returning to duty unless a war is legally declared. Well that's my 1.5 cents worth (adjusted for the declining value of US money) Blessings, Zenbob
