Unless you give up the idea that the world is real your mind will always be after it. If you take the appearance to be real you will never know the real itself, although it is the real alone that exists. ~Sri Ramana Maharshi Lost in the wilderness between true awareness and the senses, I suddenly woke inside myself like a lotus opening in waterweeds. ~Lalla 14th Century North Indian mystic Be fully aware of your own being and you will be in bliss consciously. Guest guest
Dear Mazie, Would you be able to find out what Sanskrit or Hindu or Tamil word(s) Ramana used for the word "real" and "truth"? An enlightened realized being cannot say certain things about what is (the pure meaning of reality or suchness) unless what is said is very much in the context of advise to a certain devotee (to truth) in which case that what is said is a preliminary statement that would lead to an enlightening insight by the devotee. Paths, places, sights, perceptions, and indeed all experiences arise from and exist in and subside back into the Space of Awareness. Like waves rising are not different than the ocean, all things arising from Awareness are of the nature of Awareness. Awareness does not come and go but is always Present. It is Home. Home is where the Heart Is. Jnanis know the Heart to be the Finality of Eternal Being. A true devotee relishes in the Truth of Self-Knowledge, spontaneously arising from within into It Self.
