b. & Friends,

b. quotes me:

> >Still, let me be clear: we are all in the bonds of learning, that is

> to say, of Karma, or if you prefer, Maya.

And then asks:

> ))) Isn't this something you have learned?

> Without this belief, what remains?

Well, b., Karma and Maya are concepts that I've learned, but I've known from

my earliest memories that I'm bound, and regardless of my status, whether I'm

"advanced" or not, as another of our posters asks about, it is quite clear to

me that I'm still "bound", in the sense of being subject to Maya and the

subtle worlds, as well as this one.

Again, if you aren't so bound, you have my congratulations.

And my envy, at least what there is of it,

Sincerely,

eric

Dear Eric,

I notice that you use the word "still" in front of "bound, in the sense of

being subject to Maya, etc..." indicating perhaps that being the subject to

Maya and Karma is what is ailing most humans.

One is of course not "bound" when one moves freely through Maya with

Karma... just indulge me for a while...

Maya originally pointed at this wonderful world of matter.

To the first truth-loving name-givers (philosophers) those words were

identical. This wonderful world of matter, this Mother Earth of ours, from

her subtler to grosser realities, is like the ocean that suspends freely

swimming fish. It allows us humans to freely play with gravity and mobility

through and with this material world. Karma originally used to point to the

unquestioned notion that we can do that in harmony. (Har... and Kar... come

from the same Sanskrit root.) Karma used to have only a positive meaning in

the beginning of yoga (the art of living and connecting, binding in love).

As I have so often indicated Maya and Karma are not what binds us, it is the

fact that we were not allowed to be free in maya in a karmic way, that

caused "boundedness" to take on negative connotations, we were never ever

separate, we were never ever not bound in love.

Know_mystery wrote that so well in her post to Valerie...

The ones who undid our original freedom in the times of yore - it is not the

right time yet to divulge in contemporary terms how that happened and when,

although it is nothing too new - so those who undid this original innate

freedom were able to divert the attention away from themselves and made the

"unfreed" humans to blame this miraculous material and tangible world...

To want to be delivered from the bonds of Maya and Karma is a inhuman

unnatural tendency that has been implanted so to say, into us as a diversion

tactic, to block, hinder, inhibit and restrain us from reclaiming our

original freedom, an obstruction installed into us and locked in by fear and

doubt to prevent us to look at the real cause of our un-free-ness...

Do not get tempted to see this wonderful place were we are right now, as the

hindrance to us reclaiming our natural divinity... This is the natural

playground of the gods that we are "still" in and from origin...

Eric you write:

No need for that, Eric, I hope you did indulge me a bit

The bounds of love, yes indeed... Franklin Jones (Adi Da) would call that

relationship... Believing the bounds to be an impediment would be "avoidance

of relationship" the way he so well says it in his "Knee of Listening"
