Good this by Nisargadatta, Of course, gosh... but what I wanted to say was that Chit and Ananda are connected through Tapas or Will. How so?! Years ago, by mixing Aurobindo's and Don Juan's (Carlos Castaneda) wisdom, I saw how Tapas fits in between Ananda and Chit. Don Juan kept telling Carlos to "claim knowledge as power" by applying will (which, by the way, according to Don Juan is free, as that is the "predilection of the fearless warrior".) So from then on I always used the sequence Sat Chit Tapas Ananda or Existence Knowledge Will Bliss. In fact, what I did was, I extended these four notions into a sequence of seven as I wanted to connect the human energy centers or chakras with these original notions of old. I always wanted to feel these notions deep inside my physical being as well, I wanted the energy of Sat Chit Tapas Ananda to be conveyed to and answered by very my body cells... So I also added, based on the remaining energy centers (see the xxx below) Creativity, Emotion, and Glory, as I felt those notions centered on and emanated from specific energy areas within my body. I made the following list: 1. Sat = Root = Existence (integration focussed on levels of physical reality) 2. xxx = Sacral = Creativity 3. Tapas = Navel = Will 4. Ananda = Heart = Bliss (Love) 5. xxx = Throat = Expression (E-motion really) 6. Chit = Brow = Knowledge (Consciousness) 7. xxx = Crown = Glory (integration focussed on levels of spiritual reality) the numbers 7 and 1 touch each other like the mouth and tail of a snake... or as in the rainbow's colour spectrum where magenta and cyan form royal purple... It goes on from number 7 with more subtle, however way more concrete energies, extending above our physical body shape as a higher octave or a second rainbow. Anyway, that is how Nisargadatta's quote and Michael's dream about Ramana (Ramana was saying something to him about rainbows...) triggered my memory...
