Also Jimmy could have lost a few votes had he not taken the rabbit up on its vulnerablility: Or had he been intimidated by said rabbit. Yes it is all made up but if you let a rabbit come up to you in the woods or streams without warding it off you are braver than I am. >Are there any actual newspaper sources for all this? > > Anyway, I still think Jimmy is one of the greatest presidents. > > There are a lot of rabbits running around my neighborhood and I just > have never seen someone go up to a rabbit and beat it up for eating > purposes. I guess things really are different where you live. > Honestly had no idea about all this. When I was about eight a squirrel wandered into my neighborhood and scampered up a tree. My friend and I were looking at it when a man walked by and saw us. When he saw the squirrel he started planning how to get it. He got another man and they got a long stick and tried to knock it out of the tree. After a while they left (sans squirrel). I had a homemade bow and arrow with a nail for the arrowhead that I shot at it but it just stuck in the trunk well away from it. This was about 45 years ago but I remember it well. It did not make it into the newspapers. No other squirrels got that far in from the woods again. > > By the way, Bobby you are an amazing artist and I had no idea you > were painting former governors and stuff like that. Lester Maddox had a restaurant and he invited artists to submit drawings to put on the wall. I was paid $50. American. Not much to brag about but for a young hippie it was pretty good at the time. I do have an unveiling right about now though. I did a portrait of Coach Mora for the Saints Hall of Fame in New Orleans and the ceremony is taking place there today. > > Love to all > Harsha Be good Bobby G. > > , "texasbg2000" <Bigbobgraham@a...> wrote: > > Hi Harsha and Michael > > > > As a good ol' boy maself I recognize good eatin when it swims up to > > the boat as quick as the next guy.
