All paths go

)))) The world is no more than the Beloved's single face,

Revealed in the Presence of Mitzvah;

In the desire of the One to know its own beauty, we exist

as reflections of the Heart of Mitzvah.

Each place, each moment, sings its particular song of not

being & being, spontaneous verses from

the fertile Mind of Mitzvah.

Without reason, the clear glass equally mirrors wisdom &

madness, all clouds evaporating in the Sun of Mitzvah.

Those who claim knowledge are wrong; prayer just leads to

trance;

appearance & faith are mere lees in the Unknowing Wine,

poured by the graceful Hand of Mitzvah.

Wherever the Footprint of Mitzvah is found,

that handful of dust holds the oneness of worlds.

This earth, burnished by hearing the Name, is so certain of

Mitzvah's Love that the sky bends unceasingly down,

to greet its own light

Alive as Mitzvah.

Jai Mitzvah!

LoveAlways,

O Beloved

I offer you my silence

that is Your silence.

Let it sing its song

in the stillness of the Heart.

Heart is singing again,

actually it never stopped singing.

))))On Silence

U.G. Krishnamurti

How can you understand that silence,

chaotic or otherwise?

Is it possible for you to capture that silence?

When that silence starts operating through you,

it is something extraordinary,

something vital and living.

This structure which is trying to understand

the nature of it, capture it, contain it

or give expression to it, cannot co-exist with it.

The difficulty is you seem to know

a lot about this state -- you have imagination.

You imagine it to be what is described

as "Silence is Brahman" and begin to

think about it.

This imagination must go.

That [silence] is something living

and the structure which is trying

to capture it is a dead structure.

You are all dead.

You are not living human beings at all.

You have never known one living

moment in your life.

You are living the lives of your thoughts.

All thoughts are dead --

it doesn't matter whose thoughts --

whether those of Shankara, of Ramanuja

or of the hundreds of sages, saints and

saviors we have had and perhaps have still.

It is useless to try to understand that.

How can you capture it?

If there is any such thing as silence,

chaotic or otherwise, living or dead,

it will begin to express itself.

When it expresses itself

you are not there.

So, you will never know the nature of

that silence at all.

What you call silence is not silence at all.

~ ~

Stones are longing for what you know.

If they had the graceful movements

Of your feet and tongue,

They would not stop laughing

Between their ecstatic dance steps and unbroken praise.

Your heart beats inside a sacred drum,

Its skin is tanned and stretched -

Our skin is alive and stretched -

With the wild molecules of His Wondrous Existence.

Your mind and eyes are an immense silk cloth

Upon which all your thoughts and movements paint.

Your soul once sat on an easel on my knee.

For ages I have been sketching you

With myriad shapes of sounds and light;

Now awake, dear pilgrim,

With your thousand swaying arms

That need to caress the Sky.

Now awake with your love for the Friend and the Creation,

Help this Old Tavern Sweeper, Hafiz,

To celebrate.

No more enemies from this golden view -

All who have entered this holy mountain cave

Have dropped their shields and swords.

We all cook together around a fire

Our yearning music builds.

We share our tools and instruments and plates;

We are companions on this earth

As the sun and planets are in the sky.

We are all sentries at our sacred humble posts.

The stones and stars envy the movements

Of your legs and tongue

And call to you to sing on their behalf.

The atoms in your cells and limbs are full of wonderful talents;

They dance in the Hidden Choir I conduct.

Don't sleep tonight, dear pilgrim,

So I can lead you on my white mare to His Summer House.

This love you now have of the Truth

Will never forsake you.

Your joys and sufferings on this arduous path

Are lifting your worn veil like a rising stage curtain

And will surely reveal your Magnificent Self

So that you can guide this world like Hafiz

In the Hidden Choir

God and His friends will forever

Conduct.

("The Subject Tonight is Love" -- versions of Hafiz by Daniel

Ladinsky)

LoveAlways,

b
