Whacks neurons smack! Like that. Without inference or dissection. Some part of the master filter brain shut-down overnight and died, rolling over like a cute, dead puppy. Before it used to separate like a live nine-volt battery underwater, oxygen from hydrogen... Dead battery. Now light floods in unimpeded 'till it blinds naked neurons exposed like fresh born puppies to ultra-violet light, sterilizing every image clean until blindness transforms ...into vision.
