While we stared into his eyes we laughed at the humor of it all, right down to the fact that my father's nickname was "bo," and that b's nickname is "bo." Of course we only laughed all the more wildly when we opened the email with that adorable dog named of course – bo! Thanks for this hearty laughter that even now rings in this room. Guest guest
I read somewhere that Bo was the first name for an individual in these parts of the world. When the tribe left a camp, the person staying on was called Bo. I am not sure in which way they used it : ) In Scandinavia Bo also is a verb meaning: to live in a house. Yes, bo's an interesting name. i've only heard of or known a few - my father, b, hmmm, and the other spelling -Beau Brummel, Beau Geste, Beauregard, Beau(tiful) and Ringo Starr's "Beaucoups of Blues." And then there's the good ol' 'bo tree.'Maybe those with the nickname 'bo' are dubbed that in their bodhisattva blessing, by Buddha. The notation about the tribe leaving camp, well my father, born in Missouri, was 1/2 Cherokee. My mother was also 1/2 Cherokee. The Scandanavian one meaning 'to live in a house,' is great for my father's life, for he lived in a small shack with dirt floors. He even brushed his teeth with a frayed twig and salt. For this odd reason he probably really impressed on me the importance of brushing your teeth. Ha! Yes, bo. i even knew a bobo once. But that's another story. Dear Mazie, Would you believe that our Bodhi's original name was "Bodacious Beauregard"? It was on his papers! I know... ! *giggle* As far as our dog being blessed by the Buddha, well, it seems that we got it instead, just to have him with us. We can't imagine life without him anymore....he is Sweetness Itself. Love to you and b! Kheyala > > The notation about the tribe leaving camp, well my father, born in > Missouri, was 1/2 Cherokee.
