ShivAllahSita sutra 12

Every man is where he is by the law of his being;

the thoughts which he has built into his character

have brought him there, and in the arrangement of

his life there is no element of chance, but all

is the result of a law which cannot err.

This is just as true of those who feel

"out of harmony"

with their surroundings as of those

who are contented with them.

Dying and giving birth go on

inside the one consciousness,

but most people misunderstand

the pure play of creative energy,

how inside that, those

are one event.

In any event, when Beloved and i come together

in the name of The Beautific Entanglement,

The Beautiful One inhabits us, body, mind and Soul.

i know there are those who disavow and shun Tantra Yoga,

but if for one moment you could be inhabited by Love,

be the Habitat for Love,

i tell you Beloveds, birth and death

are one movement of The One Who Moves Not.

i am moved by Love alone to sing the praise of Allah.

My world consists of the mists of Mystery

parting.

There is no arrival and no departure.

This is Home.

You ARE Home.

I see the same world as you do, but not the same way.

There is nothing mysterious about it.

Everybody sees the world through the idea he has of himself.

As you think yourself to be, so you think the world to be.

If you imagine yourself as separate from the world,

the world will appear as separate from you

and you will experience desire and fear.

I do not see the world as separate from me

and so there is nothing for me to desire, or fear.

Name and form hide Reality: This is the Teaching.

Giving name and form is an obstacle to Freedom because

then the Substratum, Consciousness, cannot be seen.

Call it a statue of a horse and the granite is hidden,

see a ring and you won't see the gold.

Name and form can never leave Consciousness,

as the ring can never leave the gold.

Even space is in this because only Self is.

The mind turned inwards is the Self; turned outwards,

it becomes the ego and all the world.

Cotton made into various clothes we call by various names.

Gold made into various ornaments,

we call by various names.

But all the clothes are cotton and all the ornaments gold.

The one is real, the many are mere names and forms.

Where there is mind there is two-ness and past.

Where there is no mind there is Freedom.

Mind is strong in other-ness because

mind is mind only when it touches an object.

Mind is the worst pollution because

it is the concept of time which steals you from Love.

Mind is samsara, the cycle of hitchhiking through wombs.

Mind is description so see what cannot be described by thought.

Truth is simple and open to all.

Why do you complicate?

Truth is loving and lovable.

It includes all, accepts all, purifies all.

It is untruth that is difficult and a source of trouble.

It always wants, expects, demands.

Being false, it is empty,

always in search of confirmation and reassurance.

It is afraid of and avoids enquiry.

It identifies itself with any support,

however weak and momentary.

Whatever it gets, it loses and asks for more.

Therefore put no faith in the conscious.

Nothing you can see, feel, or think is so.

Even sin and virtue, merit and demerit are not what they appear.

Usually the bad and the good are matter of convention and custom

and are shunned or welcomed, according to how the words are used.

Self is always Present, Bliss is always Present.

You are not to work at attaining it,

just remove the obstacles by which you can't see it.

The hindrance is only one: Attachment to the past.

But why worry so much about causation? What do

causes matter, when things themselves are transient?

Let come what comes and let go what goes - why catch

hold of things and enquire about their causes?

Know that the outward form passes away,

but the world of reality remains forever.

How long will you play at loving the shape of the jug?

Leave the jug; go, seek the water!

We think that there is something hiding our

reality and that it must be destroyed before the

reality is gained. It is ridiculous. A day will dawn

when you will yourself laugh at your past efforts.

That which will be on the day you laugh is also

here and now.

In this state there is no Shiva,

nor any holy union.

Only a somewhat something moving

dreamlike on a fading road.

Your face is neither infinite nor ephemeral.

You can never see your own face,

only a reflection, not the face itself.

So you sigh in front of mirrors

and cloud the surface.

It's better to keep your breath cold.

Hold it, like a diver does in the ocean.

One slight movement, the mirror image goes.

Don't be dead or asleep or awake.

Don't be anything.

What you most want,

what you travel around wishing to find,

lose yourself as lovers lose themselves,

and you'll be that.

two laughing children,

boy and girl,

hold tiny hands together

standing still before the fire

as the mounting flames

leap higher, there's a

dove perched on the wire, mad eyes

twinkling in the blaze of light,

watching all they thought

they were sweep to the sky

in sparks of bright and

flickering ash,

they laugh and laugh, they

squeeze and squeal, the night

spins off the Dharma Wheel and

rolls into a walnut ball they

use to crown the pyre of

their vasanas on fire

in a lot plowed clear by

Great Ones who now hover

all around them in glad

gesture of heart blessing,

in the mudra of such innocence,

of waves of love ecstatic

from the basement to the attic

this house burns.

If your knowledge of fire has been turned

to certainty by words alone,

then seek to be cooked by the fire itself.

Don't abide in borrowed certainty.

There is no real certainty until you burn;

if you wish for this, sit down in the fire.

Loosen the load of sweetness I'm carrying.

The sling-knot is biting into my shoulder.

This day has been so meaningless.

I feel I can't go on.

When I was with my teacher, I heard a truth

that hurt my heart like a blister,

the tender pain of seeing

something I loved as an illusion.

The flocks I tended are gone.

I am a shepherd without even a memory

of what that means, climbing this mountain.

I feel so lost.

This was my inward way, until I came

into the presence of a Moon, this new knowledge

of how likenesses unite. Good Friend,

everything is You. I see only God.

Now the delightful forms and motions

are transparent. I look through them

and see myself as the Absolute. And here's

the answer to the riddle of this dream:

You leave, so that we two

can do One Dance.

Reality is simply the loss of ego.

Because the ego is no entity

it will automatically vanish

and reality will shine forth by itself.
