11/10/02 "Saying Grace"

 

Nesting in because of the heavy rains we've been having, Ananda and

her dad made little gingerbread people. When the moment came for us

to sit down and eat them, Ananda cried out, "Wait! We have to sing

Happy Birfday first!" "Whose birthday is it?" we asked.

"Everbody's!" she exclaimed. So we sang Happy Birthday to Everybody,

and darned if it didn't feel exactly like saying grace! When Ananda

took her first bite she smiled really bright and with a mouth full of

brown cookie she said, "This is deeeee-Yicious!"
