Guest guest
nondualgems/ We have 26 members, including an American Swami... won't you join us and share some gems? "This group is for the posting of quips, quotations, poetry, short essays, pictures, songs... whatever you feel is most true to things as they are for you right now... anything creative, intuitive or interesting that people might like to see. It can be something you wrote (recently or 20 years ago), borrowed from someone on another list, quotations from "masters" dead for 1000 years - it doesn't matter. Whatever seems or feels right and true, honest, sincere and real this moment, and/or reflects as a pointer to 'truth' or 'reality'. Please include attributions to the original author(s) when reposting stuff. Any language (English or other) is OK... anyone interested enough can translate!" nondualgems/ Peace & Freedom, Tim
Guest guest
Thanks for the invitation Tim. We have many American Swamis on this list too. We also have African Swamis and Australian Swamis, and Chinese Swamis plus many more nationalities of Swamis represented. Frankly we have you beat in the Swami category. As far as the quotes from the masters, we got them too. Not only quotes but the masters as well. Ha. Ha. Ha. Sorry Tim. This is the kid in me! Your mention of the American Swami triggered it :-). I mean what's the big deal about having Amercian Swamis. We got Greg Goode here and Dan Berkow. They can spiritually arm wrestle any American Swami any time and win. They got muscles! Guest guest
Oh wow! A who-has-the-most-swamis contest. I'm going to grab a bag of popcorn, and sit and watch. Hmmmm, should I sell tickets? Will there be a who-can-achieve-nirvana-in-the-fastest-time contest afterward?? Paths, places, sights, perceptions, and indeed all experiences arise from and exist in and subside back into the Space of Awareness. Like waves rising are not different than the ocean, all things arising from Awareness are of the nature of Awareness. Awareness does not come and go but is always Present. It is Home. Home is where the Heart Is. Jnanis know the Heart to be the Finality of Eternal Being. A true devotee relishes in the Truth of Self-Knowledge, spontaneously arising from within into It Self. Guest guest
Thanks Carol. Now that you bring it up, we practically guarantee enlightenment and offer extended warranties on it for up to 6 years or 6000 meditation sessions (which ever comes first :-). I'm not trying to take anyone away from this list, but if anyone has the time to read and/or post on another one, they're welcome to join Nondualgems. > As far as the quotes from the masters, we got them too. He was so fast, it wasn't able to be recorded. As Swami Carol King said, "It's too late, baby, now it's too late." How many swamis can dance on the tip of a pine needle? Guest guest
HA! I think Tim knows this, since we all wrestle with each other on other lists too! Yes... it's usually a playful wrestling, though. Having watched 'pro wrestling' a few times -- staged or not, it looks... ouch! No need for the ouch, unless it's understood on a given list that "ouch" is OK, in order to draw attention to issues rather than away from those issues. Healing requires medicine which can sting, and sometimes just a bandage isn't enough. Peace, Tim
