11/15/02 "Meditation"

 

Today Ananda received some crafts for her birthday. While I wove a

bracelet, she worked with beads and at least an hour passed during

which hardly a word was spoken.

 

We're all *really* meditating, aren't we, I thought. No matter what

age or what breed of living being we happen to embody, regardless of

what we happen to be doing, in spite of how much noise we happen to

be making while doing it, whether we happen to be aware of ourselves

or not... When we are at peace, we ARE exactly what every form of

spiritual practice hopes to accomplish.
