I was standing in front of my childhood home and I'd found that the entire house had been stripped down, remodeled, and redecorated, entirely in my mother's style. When I looked in a window I found no sign of my previous life there except for a couple pairs of my jeans*, and there was no temptation to retrieve them. I felt no attachment, no judgement, or any shade of sentimentality about the place. This is a great dream because ever since my later teenage years I have had recurring nightmares about being inside that house. *Ha! Something just occurred to me: jeans, or genes?!
