In humming the same tune...dancing the same danceand then stopping in

utter stillnessTo collapse like a stooping hawk plummetingInto the

well of forever by gazingYour eyes into mineAnd mine into

yoursEternity frozenAnd in that placeAll is revealedAll is knownAnd

all elsesimply evaporatesintoBliss.

When you understand, you belongto the family. When you do not

understand, you area stranger. Those who do not understandbelong to

the family, and when they understandthey are strangers."~ Mumon

Oh Geez! there's that sacred train againgoing by and sounding like

God.Even the dirt clods are yapping,

Ahh, vhibuti ash!

Shiva fer shure…And those birds singing long before dawn -i'm gone!

Way gone! No going, just GONE!Gone? But of course, 'cause there's

nowhere to go!There's Mashuq coming in the door after work, and let me

tell you something my Darlings, That's the Beautiful Beloved One -

Love,

appearing in form! What a Wonderous One! With this bird on the

sidewalk, naked and bruised and battered and dead, and Ah! Awe!The

Beauty Presents as this one who fell from the nest! Some story about a

big twin-bombing,

a Rhommel-like Ram-ing,It Chanted again and again - Ram! Ram! Ram! Then this - Allah! Allah! Allah!

Jai to Beloved! Jai to Love!

Jai to no whens and no whys…

So sighs the Heart of One –

I Am That I Am.What if the first child my daughter’s carrying were

God,and God never breathed a single breath,

just dead at the breast? What would i see?

Would i still see God in this Love?

That's the rub, eh?If we feel separate and divided from the acts that

we fear,or the acts that bare our Hearts to Love’s blade,

Love’s leaping in Joy and Bliss, are we really saying this - La'illaha

il'Allahu? There's no reality but God; There is only God.Or are we

saying something else?

~Mazie

I perceive the teachings of the world to be the illusion of magicians.

I discern the highest conception of emancipation as a golden brocade

in a dream, and view the holy path of the illumined ones as flowers

appearing in one's eyes. I look upon the judgement of right and wrong

as the serpentine dance of a dragon, and the rise and fall of beliefs

as but traces left by the four seasons."~ Buddha Another cup of

coffee –one hand on the mug,the other caressing galaxies. They respond

with sounds of humpback whales. It is such a wonderful night!"The moon

above the clouds is the same moon. The mountains and rivers below are

all different. Each is happy in its unity and diversity. This is one,

this is two."~ MumonCome closer, let me kiss You!"The great path has

no gates, thousands of roads enter it.When one passes through this

gateless gate,He walks freely between heaven and earth. But if he

hesitates one moment, he is asA person watching from a small window

forA horseman to pass by, and in a wink He has missed seeing."~

MumonEven though it may still be dark,The dawn is already here."To

tread the sharp edge of the sword,to run on smooth-frozen ice,one

needs no footsteps to follow, walk over the cliff with hands free."~

MumonIs that corner store still open by the river?"Wind, flag, mind

moves, the same understanding. When the mouth opensall are wrong."~

MumonSo you say.~b….."O Lord, Protector of all Sentient Beings, Thou

the Eternal Buddha!Thy Blessing on Thy Shishyas with Thy Grace,I bow

down at Thy Feet, O Marpa the Translator!"~Milarepa

The Two-Bodied Buddha sits on a pole swilling down a Deep-Blue Draught

of Night-Sky.We stumble, drunk and bewildered across the last

horizon.Shameless, we climb the Body of God."The ribs outspread, like

a peacock's gorgeous feathers,in between, for three;the polished

handle of red teak-wood, at the bottom, for four."The trees are filled

with roosters. The sky is filled with roosters. We are filled with

roosters. Some of them are turned to stone, and they cannot fly away

tonight.Ask the man in his underwear watching from the door."O

brother! Thou art no longer a human being!Thou art not only devoid of

any sense of shame, but thou hast spoilt the blanket which I prepared

with so much trouble.""I am the worthiest of human beings, for I am

engaged in turning to the best accountthe precious boon of a blessed

human life."Taking a Tootsie Pop from the jar of Shiva and Shakti,The

Heart Sutra comes to mind again, as these things sometimes do.I wonder

how long coffee takes to reach the picking stage? Can two people really

go all night long?"Thy shame is born of ignorant

conventionalities;shame thou feelest where for shame there is no

cause. To me, the devotee, who knoweth what shame truly is,in showing

in its natural shape my three-fold personality, what shame can be

attached thereby? When `tis known that human beings are born, each of a

certain sex, `tis know, too, that eachpossesseth certain organs."And

the two Buddhas turned within Themselvesand leapt off the pole and

ran down the street,Laughing at Their Nakedness.

In gardens where cinnamon trees and the jasmine vine twine, you will

find me with my Love's fresh splash of wine inside, ever-glowing with

inner light, white, flower face of my Beloved sips this honeyed-nectar

of what Hallaj knew

as he sang in the garden. Violets kiss the feet of Layla's dog,

come around this time as my Heartbeat. Azaleas open up like seashells

and the Splendor of the Dawn steps out. In every clovey, head in hands, viburnum blossom,

this is a gift for Mashuq. All the fluttered maple leaves lying in a pool of ruby,

sing openly of Firefields of Red's beginning,

and a Well of Light that offered white to every shimmered friend

adorned in Iridescence-woven gladrags. I can't begin to end this Song

that leaps from every floral face, from every single living eye that

peers out from blossom's head. This music, this winetalk –

I'm too drunk sloshing about inside this Temple of Love, too drunk in

every flower lolling around this Tavern to know what is and what

isn't fit for men

and women's ears to hear about just now. I'm too Intoxicated,

too Drunk to know better than to talk about the Darling One. What were we talking about just now,

I've forgotten what it was we said? Excuse me my friend, I must hurry along,

my Beloved needs more Wine.~Mazie......In this state there is no

Shiva, nor any Holy Union, only a somewhat something moving dream-like

on a fading road.I, Lalla, entered the Jasmine Garden where Shiva and

Shakti weremaking Love.I dissolved into Them, and what is This to me

now?I seem to be here, but really, I am walking in the Jasmine

Garden.Whatever work I've done, whatever I've thoughtwas Praise with

my body, Praise hidden inside my head.I wearied myself searching for

the Friend, with efforts beyond my strength.I came to the door and

saw how powerful the locks were bolted, and the Longing in me became

that strong, and then I saw that I was gazing from within the

Presence. With that waiting, and in giving up all wanting, and in

giving upall trying -- only then did Lalla flow out from where I

knelt.~Lalla
