Guest guest
Dear Bobby: What a fabulous talent you have. Do you agree with Hockney that some of the great artists traced their great works using optical lenses to get mirror images? A program on 60 Minutes seemed to prove his contention. There were two many left handed people in those paintings. Thanks for the comment. The past is full of artists who used devices and grids to layout paintings. Vermeer is noted among them, that he used the camera obscura. There is a plaque in his room ot the Met in New York saying so. I always believed that Carravagio did too although as far as I know their is no proof of that. For people that believe that it makes a difference I would say art is a communication of one heart to another. If you feel cheated by the thought an artist might have projected an image it is your heart that is locking up, not the artists. I have sometimes use grids or projectors to start a composition but I have learned that the most successful of my works are freehand. Portraitists who work from life a lot, like I do have to be able to draw well. (If it makes a difference, only two or three of the pieces on the website were started by projections. I hope you have a safe trip. Laugh a lot! Bobby G.

David Hockney's main contribution to art is this statement IMO.
Guest guest
Dear Bobby: I have no qualms with any techniqes used to create such great art. Even with tracing tecniques the use of colors is unimaginarily brilliant. Aloha, Alton

Guest guest
BobbyG, Your paintings are absolutely breathtaking. The mural "Good Earth Forever" receives big round of applause - is this mural in your home? I saved a few to use as computer wallpaper - right now I have the beautiful lavendar rose. Tomorrow I'll put up the Sunset at Ten Sleep Creek. Hope you don't mind! As for advice -- which I'm great at giving out since I don't use it anyway - :-) - the site needs nothing, unless you don't want wallpaper thiefs like me using your paintings to brighten their day. Thanks for sharing your God-given gift with us. Guest guest
Thanks teegee, The good Earth Forever hangs in the Terrebonne (Good Earth) General Medical Center in Houma La. (south of New Orleans, Cajun Country). I met some good people making it: an old Houmas Indian to mend the net, a family of Cajun muscians, and a trip to an offshore oil rig. I am pleased and honored you want to use the images. I believe that colors especially in combinations are beneficial to people's well being. The sunset at Ten Sleep Creek was started in the Big Horn area of Wyoming. Ten Sleep Creek was named because Indians of several tribes met there and it was ten sleeps from each tribe. The mountain stream enters Meadowlark Lake at the point I painted. It is a very nice place to be. Thanks again Love Bobby G. , "teegee555 <Teegee555@a...>" <Teegee555@a...> wrote: > BobbyG, > > Your paintings are absolutely breathtaking.
