"Let your reward be in the actions themselves;never in their fruits.

So be not moved by thefruits of actions; nor let inaction dewell in

you.Abiding under the Rule Yoga and casting offattachment, O

Wealth-Winner, perform youractions, indifferent alike to gain or

loss.

Under this Rule of the Understanding a manfrees himself even in this

life from good deedsand ill. Therefore set yourself to the Rule;

skillin actions is the Rule. For under the Rule of theUnderstanding

wise men abandon the fruits ofactions, loose themselves from the

fetters ofbirth, and reach that state which is beyond allill. When

your understanding shall have passedthrough the turmoil of confusion,

then alonewill you come to indifference as to the thingsyou hear and

have heard. When your under-standing shall stand firm and moveless in

aware-ness of the eternal Soul, then you will attainthe
