1. Lady Joyce writes: Hello, JoyceS, and joyces, this is JoyceJS.,

checking in...

so there are three of us!!! Joyce, Joyce and Joyce..that makes for 3

smiles...

2. And another thing...know another mystery, Dear Joyce, between you and

me...

By way of quick backround, when I went to the Death Penalty Seminar in

Wyoming,

I took some piano music with me to play while there. More on that in a

moment...see 3 below...

Anyway, today, I was fishing the music out of my file when out fell a zerox

copy of a poem...

It is quoted by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, MD, in the first chapter of her

book, On Death and Dying. We had been asked to bring a poem with us to the

seminar with the intention that we might be asked to speak it to the group.

I was drawn to this beautiful poem, so I took it with me just in case.

Never needed it until now...

By Rabindranath Tagore

Let me not pray to be sheltered from

dangers but to be fearless in facing

them.

Let me not beg for the stilling of

my pain but for the heart to conquer it.

Let me not look for allies in life's

battlefield but to my own strength.

Let me not crave in anxious fear to

be saved but hope for the patience to

win my freedom.

Grant me that I may not be a

coward, feeling your mercy in my

success alone; but let me find the grasp

of your hand in my failure.

RABINDRANATH TAGORE,

Fruit-Gathering

I am not done yet...

3. Dear Harshaji...guess what song I was fishing out of the file? It would

be The Sound of Music...I had taken it with me since I was going to the

mountains :-) ... It was one of the few "musicals" that I learned studying

piano as a child. I always liked the songs from the movie, and so, if

during one of your Deep moments of Silence, you suddenly hear the sounds of

a piano playing The Sounds of Music, that would be Me, JoyceJS.

Eternal Love,

JoyceJS.

Night night, JoyceS...

Night night, joyces...

Night night, JoyceJS

Good evening, Lady Joyce -

Well, have you ever in your life been in a place with so many Joyces?

It is an unusual experience, for me... And i am humbly honored to

share this name with you and JoyceS. Anyway, I wanted to thank you

for your quotes.

Two more from Tagore, before I put "Stray Birds" away for a while.

"HE world has kissed my soul with its pain, asking for its return in

songs."

"LOVE'S pain sang round my life like the unplumbed sea, and love's

joy sang like birds in its flowering groves."

love to all friends,

joyce
