Rasa News Update

Hi Christiana!

 

I am wondering what you're up to!

 

Today Ananda went to her first day of preschool/playgroup. When we

came to pick her up her teacher took us aside and told us that she

could not believe Ananda had never been in a group situation before.

She had some really nice things to say. Ananda whispered in my ear,

"Mommy, this school is more fun than the AQUAWIUM!" That's pretty

big. The best part for us was that, although this and the

prerequisite doctor's appointment were intimidating for her, she got

to completely shine through them both. MAN, that makes my insides

smile! Man!

 

Things have been pretty intense for me (and family) lately regarding

the regurgitation of memories, impressions, feelings, etc. that I

guess were too painful for me to face before now. But you know what?

It's great. I'm not kidding about that. It's great. Our new

punching bag is getting a lot of action. I recently quoted Ananda on

TrueVision: "Mommy, it's time to go hit the bag! Huwwy!" She made a

promise to me to not let the anger that comes out of me go inside her,

and she is one who honors her word.

 

Sometimes sounds come out of my being that are the same as those from

Zachary's birth. And just like in the wee hours of that dark

September morning they come loud and strong and pure and

simultaneously leave the same way with no resistance on my part at

all. Tonight I went outside and, to my surprise, lovesongs to the

stars came out instead.

 

That's all for now. I just read this letter over and I'm thinking

I'll share it with all my online friends again. Thanks for

listening, and for your heart which never fails to bring mine out to

the fore.
