Guest guest
I want to connect the two paths if I can, as to a unified goal of peace and nonviolence. Dear Joyce, I reached this inner connection from my own inner revelation. I read a lot of literature from people trying to show the connection but it really was just more 'mind stuff'. For me, when i threw myself deeply into each teaching, dropping all concepts of other teachings, I found myself being brought to the Realization of Oneness through each "path". Trying to compare the similiarities and differences seemed like another shot at using the mind to 'understand' rather than allowing the Truth to revealed. When others present their teachings to me now, I can honestly say: I agree !! LOL This usually stops the need of other people to proselytize further. So much of Truth is presented in a veiled form and who can really see beyond the veils until we can? It gives me great JOY to hear others share now, (they may not even be aware of what they are really saying)....so even when I hear the most dogmatic people share I can smile and be grateful. This is so freeing. Actually, I ran away from Christianity into Eastern studies and for the first time understood what the Christian teachings were saying !! Truth is not something I defend or explain....it is the Truth that lives Itself out through me when I allow this to be so. with love and great JOY, Patt
