Having read Shawn's 2nd gloss on Conflationism, I'm going to suggest that my comments about Conflationism in my last post be changed to reflect instead on Elevationism. Conflationism, however, still strikes me as a term perfectly suited to one of our most egregious problems, which is the Conflation (have I got this right, Shawn?) between the Self and the self. A disparity that at least some of us use to advantage, but most fail to...or perhaps, fall to...as in "to fall between two stools". Whatever.
