I am sure most would agree. One day I was watching tv and I saw one of the beautiful pictures of earth from space. I was really touched. I misted over thinking about my home and how beautiful it is and how much I love it. Then I realized I was thinking the image was the earth. The real thing was below my feet so I pointed my love there. That works too. Love Bobby G.

Guest guest
This is a created world, and there is distinction in creation. It is a beautiful thing, I agree. God has created the world as an artist creates a portrait. As with any painting the image starts in the mind and is communicated through colors on a canvas. The universe, however, started as a thought in the mind of God and was communicated through His word, His spoken word. He created Ex Nihilo meaning, "out of nothing!!" This is an amazing concept I don't know why He made me distinct from the trees and the animals but we are indeed very distinct. WE are in the image of God Himself. This is perhaps even yet more beautiful. And even more beautiful than our creation Is that God Himself would manifest in the flesh, that He would intercourse Himself with humanity and experience our pain and shame, This is more than beauty this is love. And this is God's far greatest work!!! Thanx for sharing. grayd , "Lady Joyce" <ladyjoy@v...> wrote: > One day I was watching tv and I saw one of the beautiful pictures of > > earth from space. Guest guest
thank you for this lovely post, just two minutes before reading it i was thinking of this very subject.i seem to be thinking about it alot lately..specifically i was thinking about the phrase "created in His image.."God can certainly be considered a person..yes? (but don't tell that to the non-dualists) you seem to be talking about Him though, as if He were separate and different than you...is that how you always relate to God? He is your creator? > This is a created world, and there is distinction in > creation. It is a beautiful thing, I agree. > > God has created the world as an artist creates a > portrait. Guest guest
God is the force behind the universe. The universe is expanding and so if you reverse that, that means it had a singular start point for the expansion. This is why scientists believe in the Big Bang. But the problem with the Big bang is that there was nothing before the Big bang, it was a state of Non- Createdness. It would be a vacuum but this to is indeed something. To say that God is my creator is to say that I did not create myself, and my ultimate mother and father (the first homosapiens on earth) Had not created themselves either. I refer to God as my creator for the sole reason that I know that I indeed did not create myself. Furthermore, my parents did not create themselves, nor there parents and so on. God must have started the chain reaction. But I believe more than this.. God is personal, this is far harder to rationalize. The agnostic reveal God as an impersonal force, yet God is still the creator by means of theoretical and hypothetical evolution. I believe that our souls started as a thought in the mind of God and God communicated this creation through a word And God said let there be MAN!!! and there was man, This is somewhat relaxing, what are your perspectives, where do you hold your origins? Who or what in your oppinion created these so called beautiful sunsets and stargazes? grayd --- "devianandi <devi" <devi wrote: > thank you for this lovely post, just two minutes > before reading it i > was thinking of this very subject.i seem to be > thinking about it alot > lately..specifically i was thinking about the phrase > "created in His > image.."God can certainly be considered a > person..yes? But the > problem with the Big bang is that there was nothing > before the Big bang, it was a state of Non- > Createdness. me:most of what i understand about God is from Meher Baba. He starts out saying that God was totally unconscious. and then there was a *Whim*, it wasn't a big bang, just a whim..you can imagine what a whim is, right.?.(now this thought doesn't make sensce to me that there was a time when God was unconscious, unless it's meant in a deep sleep, so after an infinitly long period of time God will fall back to that sleep and be unconscious again..(at that time, so will all of us particles of God.)..so in reality, there is no beginning, this has been an always going phenomena, there is no where to point to for a begining..because i don't believe there is ever a final ending....now, in this unconscious sleep everything is latent, in the darkness of that sleep everything is also asleep, not moving because what makes anything move is consciousness...so really, there was no beginning and no ending, just an on and on and on...and we souls with consciusness now were latent in God and we popped out of that first as a particle of light and then to experience the opposite of that we became stones...and then metal, vagetable, animal and man with infinite potential to become divine.i also think that there are an infinite number of soul, they can never be counted because there is no end to places where they can go the universe is so so big (in imagination)and there is no end to the creation of souls.(maybe stars are the new souls that have popped into creation..anyway....so, i guess what i am saying is that i don't think there is a creator of my soul, i just popped out of nowhere. i think i was alway latent in God and i poped out from the nothing and followed the natural progression that was latent in God... as far as the first homosapeins on earth, i don't think they were created by anything more than the natural order of evolution, the force thats latent in God that makes growth...i think that probably this planet was more likely to have been inhabitated by highly evolved beings that have gone through what we are going through...they left one dying planet and inhabited another... It would be a vacuum but this to is > indeed something. To say that God is my creator is to > say that I did not create myself, and my ultimate > mother and father (the first homosapiens on earth) Had > not created themselves either.
