Housecleaning 101... A few weeks back there was a very informative Patanjali

thread between John Logan and Bobby G. They were talking about bliss,

mostly. At the time, I was not in much Bliss!!! I remember posting at the

end of their discussion, my sumup of their hard work, which was to reproduce

their last words below. I want to say that I did not intend to disrespect

in any way. I still do feel that way, because for me that is the easy way.

However, it has bothered me enough to go back to it and...

To now come to you, John and Bobby, to say,

If I offended you in any way

Please forgive me

Sometimes I am such a jerk,

or is it dork, or is it Mork?

or Mindy, or Windy?

No, I am a Hindi Bindi.

So there!!!

nanu nanu jhanu jhanu

Love and kisses to you,

Joyce

PS John, I remember you saying once that you had an interest in Native

American Indian concepts of God. In the beginning, I spent a fair amount of

time there looking for answers and just because I was fascinated myself.

Partly because of a section of my book which addressed the genocide of the

American Indian and because I found their traditions so heavily steeped in

symbolism. I was looking for the meaning of thunder and ligntning!!!

Anyway, the Great Spirit is what I remember as their name for All That Is.

If you have any inclination to share there, Lady Joyce would be so

pleased!!! Oh, and OK, Patanjali, too, if that is what pleases you. Just

keep it simple for us fools!!! Thank you!!! Nanu Nanu...

Hi Joyce:

I gotta tell you that I like any reply at all when I post something.

When you say keep it simple about Patanjali I have to laugh. That's

not such a simple thing you're saying.

The beauty of P. is the comprehensive nature of his writing. An

excerpt shows very little of the depth. I tried to learn the guitar

once. Lots of people play the guitar how hard could it be? Ha Ha.

P. is the same. After nearly 30 years with him I am starting to

break through and that is why I want to write something about it.

Because it is amazing but you don't know it till you see enough of

it.

Various gurus say the typical guru thing but phrase it for meaning or

beauty. Their gift was in the context of the utterance.

Not P. He took the most daunting task known to man and laid it

out. He invented what is called Classical Yoga. No religion has ever

been able to form around it.

I know some say he was several men. In the Ramayana, Vishnu

incarnates as four princes but one was named Rama and he had the

task before him that Vishnu incarnated to accomplish. One person or

many is the same thing.

Yes it is hard but buck up girl and bear down. This stuff will pull

your marshmallow out of the fire before it falls off the stick.

Love

Bobby G.

Just for you, Bobby G,

I will buck up and bear down,

even if I fall down

My marshmallow

is already quite toasted

So what if it gets roasted?
