Guest guest Posted March 3, 2003 Report Share Posted March 3, 2003 hello, i just found out this morning that my computer has a virus. it seems that it somehow posted messages in some of my clubs with attachments on the post, but *I* never posted in that club, it seems the virus did the posting,,soooooooo please don't open any attachments from devi, also it seems that i am sending infected mail to people, i am not, the virus is, so don't open any mail from devi;;; i hope i'll get the problem fixed soon namastte devi if anyone has a clue how i can get rid of the virus please let me know, i don't have a virus protection plan, right now i don't know what to do? Hello Devi - Sorry to hear of this! You can download free antivirus software from www.grisoft.com. The instructions should be pretty self-explanatory. There are also other companies that offer this sort of software, and a quick google search may be of use. There are also commercially- available packages - you could check a local office supply store or computer store. Good luck, joyce PS - Once you install whatever flavor of protection you choose, remember to update it often to keep current against new viruses.
