Guest guest
Namaste, >Experience with Amma By Lakshmiakka, Amma's personal attendant. Lakshmiakka once narrated this incident:- It had been one of those days when the crowds of people who had come for Amma's darshan seemed to be endless. Lakshmiakka (as she is affectionately called) had just been informed that Amma, after giving darshan for almost twenty hours, was on Her way to Her room. Lakshmiakka had prepared food for Amma to eat. As she was about to warm the food, she noticed to her dismay, that a lot of small ants had found their way into the rice container. She was in a quandary. Amma was extremely strict and particular about not wasting even a tiny morsel of food. Lakshmiakka felt that the ants had infested the rice because of her carelessness. However, she could not serve Amma the rice with the ants in it. Should she just wash the rice free of the ants or cook a fresh pot of rice? There was not enough time to cook the rice before Amma returned. She finally settled on washing the rice clean and reheating it. When Amma arrived, Lakshmiakka served Her the food she had prepared. Amma sat silently with tears flowing down her cheeks. She refused to eat the rice. Indeed, she refused to eat anything at all the whole day. Unable to understand the reason, Lakshmiakka frantically asked Amma what was wrong. Amma just said, " You have harmed my children. How can I eat?" Lakshmiakka then recalled how she had killed the ants in the rice and was dumbfounded. She concluded her narration saying, " I then got a hint of how vast was the ocean of Amma's love that extended to all of creation. My every moment with Amma is an unforgettable journey towards the Truth." < ONS....Tony.
