Guest guest
I LOVED WHAT I COULD LOVE I had a natural passion for fine clothes, excellent food, andlively conversation about all matters that concernthe heart still alive. And even a passionabout my ownlooks. Vanities: they do not exist. Have you ever walked across a stream stepping onrocks so not to spoil a pair of shoes? All we can touch, swallow, or sayaids in our crossing to Godand helps unveil thesoul. Life smooths us, rounds, perfects, as does the river the stone, and there is no place our Beloved is not flowingthrough the current’s force youmay not alwayslike. Our passions help to lift us. I loved what I could love until I held Him,for then – all things – every worlddisappeared. ~ St. Teresa of Avila ~ (Love Poems From God: Twelve Sacred Voices from the East and West by Daniel Ladinsky) Web version at www.Panhala.net/Archive/I_Loved_What_I_Could_Love.html Web archive of Panhala postings at www.Panhala.net/Archive/Index.html To to Panhala, send a blank email to Panhala- To from this group, send an email to:PanhalaYour use of is subject to the Attachment: (image/jpeg) Mountain Stream Great Smoky Mountains .jpg [not stored] Attachment: (audio/mid) Second-Chance-28406.mid [not stored]
