Namaste All,

 

Yes the Catholics have the Sacrament or Rite of Extreme Unction,

which is given at near death and even after death before any funerals

or anything like that. It is essentially to relax the entity, let it

know it is dead, and move on. Probably to the Catholic group as

Hindus would go to the Hindu Astral etc.

 

With luck I will be not in need of any group of souls

Very interesting!

In Hinduism, Shraddha is not done to let the person know he died.

Actually, no Hindu believes that a person can ever die. Shraddha is

done so the journey to the other world and life there is smooth.
