Thank God

 

Life has forced me

to remove

these rose-colored glasses

 

Okay

so they've been crushed

in my bare hands

again and again

 

and my vision

is no longer rosy

 

But I ain't blind no more.

 

I can see.

 

I can See!

 

And really

it's not *what* I see

 

but rather

the *Seeing* itself

 

all along

 

being the one true source

 

of the light

and the joy

 

that I was trying so hard to find

 

wearing those silly

rose-colored glasses
