There is a space between the time when something is one thing and the

time when it grows better, that is, different in a more sophisticated

way. An animal that catches up to its environment in its protective

evolution is an example. A piece of art goes from crude to

expressive and an artist grows from inept in an ability to proficient.

It is this transition that is neither state nor activity, but the

thing of transition itself that becomes habitual through effort. It

is a product of love, not intellectualism.

Hi Bobby -

I agree, it is a product of love, and it is also when we are closest

to the source, to the creator...

love and peace,

joyce

PS - I've tried to write about this in a few poems over the past few

months. Here's the latest...

When all is stillness

In the clear moment

when breath

is neither inhale

nor exhale,

but just breath,

neither in

nor out,

full stop,

at that precise moment

when all is perfectly

still,

were i Rumi, i'd say

"there is a field

i'll meet you there."

And meeting there

brings that flash

of realization:

It is when all is stillness,

in between the lub

and the dub

of this heart,

that i hear you loudest in me.
