Guest guest
Pl. note that Agnihothra Homam was being going on in one family when BHOPAL GAS TRAGEDY took place in the Midnight 2-3 December 1984 and eventhough all the nearby people died this family esacaped because the poiosonus gas was neutralised be the fumes emenated from the Homa. The Leak: The first time the management of the Carbide plant came to know about the leak was at 11:00 pm. A desperate worker at 12:50 pm started the factory alarm meant for workers. The management not only turned it off within minutes but also delayed the sounding of the public siren until as late as 2:00pm by which time all the gas that could leak had leaked. Over 40 tonnes of highly poisonous methylisocyanate gas leaked out of the pesticide factory of Union Carbide in Bhopal. Death Toll: Thousands died in the immediate aftermath. At least10, 000 have died in the years that have passed, and 10 more are dying every month due to exposure-related diseases -----
