Namaste,

I think this might result in trying to find a perfect being in this

imperfect world!! You may never really find such a person. In your

eyes, something that looks like a desire, a deep passion for

something might be a simple habit for another person. Your Raaga

might be a Dwesha for another. Raaga is like and Dwesha is dislike.

Let me quote Swami Vivekananda when he was asked who can be a true

Guru.

He said : " One who can tell your past, present and future is the

true Guru " .

This is from Tirumular's Tirumanthiram :

They seek not the Guru who would cure their blindness

They seek the Guru who would cure not their blindness

Blind and the Blind dance the blind dance

Until they create a pit and fall into it!

Namaste, IMO,

Yes a coffee desire does eliminate a claim to being a Jivanmukti. I

am referring to so many gurus who claim to be avatars or jivanmuktis

etc. Most true Muktis would never make that claim in that way.

In the end only one Jivanmukti can recognise another anyway.

If the teachings are sound then use them good things can be taught by

a bad guru.........ONS....Tony.

Namaste E,

I think warning or scaring people cannot be described strictly as

himsa. Ramakrishna Paramahamsa said,..'If you bark like a dog you

don't need to bite.'...I was barking so people don't get

bitten..ONS...Tony.

devi: do you think it's possible that someone can be jivanmukti

(desireless) and still play with desires?
