Guest guest
5/21/03 [This is an excerpt from a letter we just received, entitled "Even in L.A.", written by Dandelion who is visiting with his family right now.] <snip> busy busy, i tell ya. yet i had a very interesting and profound experience the first day i was here: i got into this conversation with my mom... i don't know how it came about but it turn sort of philosophical or spiritual. and i found myself trying to explain to my mom, in some sort of consolation to her crazy and stressful life, the crux of my philosophy, which is- the only thing of importance in life, is acceptance and presence. that is it!! i realized i was repeating statements that jim had made to me; statements that had a real profound effect on me, tho i never really got it. i found that i was saying acceptance/presence was something active that we ourselves can do. but then it hit me; like a divine flash, or lightning!!!! and i blurted out, with enlightened enthusiasm: "but we can't even do that!!!!ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! the waves of joy that covered me. the peace. the knowing that there is something beyond even the one who says "i am observing". and that when there is true presence, true acceptance, there is nobody...i don't know about you but i feel all warm and tingely inside... [...] i love you; and think about you always.
