Guest guest
Oh Bhagavan . . . It was you that I saw before my eyes first opened. You were the Joy before creation. You were the light that led me through the tunnel of night into this world. It was you that I saw as I last looked into my earthly mother’s eyes. You were the stillness of life that I witnessed In the midst of the emptiness called death. It was you that I saw when my eyes first met the gaze of my newborn child. You were the gentle innocence of unknowing That cradled us both in delight. These three times . . . and countless others . . . you have come. But so quickly I forgot you each time. Oh Beautiful One, Forgive me. Come once more before my worldly sight grows dim And I fall once again from this indistinct realm of form and thought. Come just for a second, But this time, take not just the paltry gifts I offer you. Take also all that I selfishly call my own. Take everything . . . So that I will remember.
