Guest guest
"Love itself is the actual form of God." Sri Ramana The meditation on "Don't Know, Don't Care" is not right for everyone. It is a unique type of meditation. It can be approached usually by people who have loved deeply and have experienced a form of being relaxed and contented while remaining softly aware. I can give more details at some point about the method. Sages and scriptures have hinted at it. Meditations like these make some people feel uneasy. "Don't Know, Don't Care" points to a void. It invites one to enter a room that has no floors. But it is not right for everyone. Some people are not ready for it. The clinging to notions is too strong. That is OK. We are in that space already. No floors, no ceilings, no walls. There are no words and concepts that can ultimately help to maintain identity. All questions and answers are simply the desperation of the mind. A desperate mind is not a bad thing. It is simply struggling to make sense, to maintain identity. "Don't Know, Don't Care" approach to meditation can be scary. Some religious people are not comfortable with it. However, if God or the Universe is ensuring that everything is the way it should be, then we can relax a little. Knowing that nothing is our personal burden one tastes the essence of love. This is the same as "Not my will Lord but Thine". In the state of "not knowing and not caring" one spontaneously embraces the whole universe and holds all sentient being in the Heart. My article "Ordinary Mind is the Buddha Mind" together with "You Take My Breath Away" in the last volume of magazine may shed some light on this.
