Dear Friends,

Yesterday I posted a story at AdyashantiSatsang that b wrote called

"The Ring in the River" from his book "Ixnay: Her Book of Daisy

Wisdom." Later that same day I went out to snap some pics and one of

them was the picture below of a frog under the water. The interesting

part is the water bubble that was rising, (which I didn't see until I

processed the photo). It looks just like a silver ring in the

river....

....the story from Ixnay -

"Curious about spiritual things, a greeb once asked Ixnaywhat was

really meant by the words"We are all immersed in an illusion hereon

this earth".Ixnay threw a finger ring into a nearby river and

said:"Bring the ring back to me and then you will know."So the greeb

dived into the river. The instant he entered the water,he lost all

consciousness of who he really was. He surfaced, got outand wandered

around the area. Eventually, he found a small town andgot himself a

few acres and took up farming. He was intelligent, andover the next

year or so, he thought of many ways to farm better andeventually he

became the best farmer in the county and was veryprosperous. He

married the Mahub's daughter and they had manychildren. He traveled

far and learned even more and became a greatexpert on agricultural

methods throughout the country. When thecountry went to war, he

joined the army and became an officer. Hischildren grew and though

they had the usual ups and downs and onedied while still a child -

the others did well and prospered. One day, he was walking beside the

river thinking about hisinteresting life. Although he was successful

and had everything lifecould offer, he still was not completely happy

or satisfied.Something was missing and it continued to bother him but

he had noidea what it was. It had been raining a great deal in the

last weekand suddenly the bank gave way under his feet. He became

submerged inthe swollen rushing river. His eyes spied something gold

in the bedof the river and he was drawn to it. He grabbed the object

andsurfaced. For what seemed ages, he battled the swollen waters

andeventually heaved himself from the water with tremendous

difficultyonto the bank.

The instant his feet touched the land, he remembered with

crystalclarity who he really was. He remembered asking Ixnay the

questionabout the earth being an illusion, and then diving into the

water. Healso remembered all his years as a farmer, soldier, father,

husbandand successful greeb. But even as he thought of those

experiences, they began to fade just like a dream. He turned and saw

Ixnay smiling at him.Looking into Ixnay's eyes, the greeb smiled back

and said,"That was an excellent answer."~Ixnayfrom Her Book of Daisy
