This morning, after I was Captain Joyceway, I mean Janeway, of the Starship Enterprise, I could use a good laugh!!! I had no illusions of grandeur in my outfit, cuz I am so much more mature than you were back then (AS IF :-) Janeway's outfit came from a garage sale, so not to worry about mud and other ruinations. I will confess, last year was much more fun, although those bloody capsules taste disgusting, like bad cherry flavored cough syrup, LOL!!! And although I did get quite used to them by the end of the night, those vampire fangs are very uncomfortable and, mmmm...un-natural! The rest of lady Dracula came out of my closet, just like gypsy rose you! But, Janeway was easy...all I had to do was slip it on (OK,OK, force it on!), zip it up (with a little help from my friends :-) and...beam me up, Scotty!!! The rest is Halloween history... Speaking of history, I have one for you, too... just so you don't feel bad about your "past"... Back when I was very young :-), I too went to a bar on Halloween, where everyone was dressing it up and drinking it up, etcetera, etcetera... I was in law school at the time and went with a friend of mine. She dressed up as a painter, having just had her place painted :-) Me, not wanting to pretend otherwise, I dressed up as a garbage bag. Imagine this...black leotard and slippers, from my mandatory for music major ballet classes of college days gone by (in those days I did NOT have to force it on, LOL)... big green heavy duty 13 gallon garbage bag, with holes ripped in for the legs and the arms, tied around my neck... dark makeup smudged all over my face. What a sight, but I did not smell, thank you very much. Oh, and I stuffed it full of newpapers inside... By the end of the night it had been completely ripped off (the bag, that is), but I could still dance enpointe ( what a lie that is :-) Thank God I had that leotard underneath!!! Well, anyway, thanks for the laugh!!! Somewhere there is picture of me and my friend, before we left for the party. If I find it I will post it...dream on!!!
