Guest guest
11/20/03 It was SO funny! I was squinting up at the on-screen TV guide trying to read the fuzzy letters that would tell me something of tonight's episode of Survivor when I vaguely became aware of Ananda saying something. I had my finger held up in her direction, that finger that meant "I'll be right with you," but she kept on talking and coming closer until suddenly, right in front of me, she was holding up a little piece of paper with a small, upside-down tea-strainer on it. It was so close to my face that it was nearly touching my nose and before my eyes could even register what those dark thingies were that were poking through the holes in the metal screen, Ananda's words rang in loud and clear: "Look, Mommy! I caught a spidoe!" I totally jumped. And my jump made her jump. And her jump made her little spider-catcher drop to what was nearly my lap and that made me scream, which made her scream, and the two of us screaming made Zacky scream. So there we all were, mouths wide and shrieking, with little Zack waving his baby arms frantically and running in place like he was in a big hurry. Meanwhile, our hairy, little brown friend scurried at full speed across the floor until she vanished without a trace into the safety of a shadow.
