Guest guest
11/30/03 "Five Golden Wings" Last night on our drive into town we saw a few homes decorated for the holidays. I asked Ananda with a chuckle, "Do you know what you used to say? You used to say 'Kissmiss.'" She laughed, "That's funny! But now I'm gwown up and now I say 'KWISSmiss.'" Then she started to sing her rendition of The Twelve Days of Kwissmiss, and I could not contain my laughter to save my life. While her ear's interpretations of the lyrics could only barely be considered English, they sure were cute as could be, and some of them were downright hilarious. The only trouble was that every time I busted up laughing she would scream at me to stop (which didn't work, unfortunately), Zacky would start squawking, and then Jim would eventually say, "Kheyala!" "Okay, okay," I told everybody, finally deciding to behave myself. Ananda resumed her song, "Four birds a-licking..." But that was it. I lost it again! I laughed riotously, causing Ananda's protest and Jim's re-gripping of the steering wheel and yelling, "Kheyala!" with even more urgency, more oomph, and for some reason, the whole thing made me laugh so hard I nearly peed in my pants! Fortunately, we were saved by The Bell.
