Sri Ramana used to say that, that which is real does not come and go. How could it be otherwise? So if we see where we are now, that is enough. The tao that can be spoken of is not the Tao. Unity with everything is a contradiction. When there is Unity, there is no "with" :-). I love the words of Ramana. But I want to know, "What do you say?" If one person believes that another person's words are true, then they believe either because of "blind faith" (ignorance), or because of their own self knowledge/experience. So, to believe implicitly and completely in the words of any other person who you never met, and whose words are a recollection of another party, and whose words have been translated from a foreign language, you either believe out of ignorance or you believe from knowledge. But I love a good quote now and then. but this is nearly impossible for people who did not realize that [exactly!] I AM THAT I AM is REAL [exactly!] and everything else just a dream [There isn't anything else.] only when you realize it inside without words you realize that you yourself are part of this GD [i guess whether you are a "part" of "GD" or you are "IT" depends on what you say. I guess?] in this moment you could ask yourself the Lord in yourself to lift the curtain of UNKNOWLEDGE to realize from Moment to Moment who you really are [The curtain is already lifted and the PLAY is underway.] and please remember all the "knowledge" is futile if you YOU YOURSELF do not live DO NOT L I V E IT do not live accordingly without any exception thats the Golden Rule for enlightenement [Cool.] everything else is childish stuff [Me too. I'm just a big kid.] with all my respect Michael Bindel Love, michael >Michael Bowes > > >Re: Re: [NDS] Science Vindicates Mindfulness Meditation >Thu, 11 Dec 2003 09:50:05 -0800 (PST) > >Dear Harsha and all, > > > >--- Harsha wrote: > > eric paroissien wrote: > > > > > considering that the best mystical experiences > > give the best > > > advaitins no experience of god or that a simple > > being has an > > > experience of god in every moment... > > > still me curious?? > > > love, eric >SNIP > > > Sri Ramana used to say that, that which is real does > > not come and go. > > > > How could it be otherwise? > >Much ado is made about reality in Vedanta.
